With the 2015 audit and tax season behind us, we are going to revisit best practices and technical issues that are relevant not only to affordable housing developers and property managers, but also to asset managers, equity investors, and third-party lenders.

In this workshop, you will gain the latest insights on changing state regulations and new standardizations and tools used among industry leaders nationally that will help you, your team and organization succeed in the next season.

Affordable Housing Industry Regulatory Changes

Discussion on current development with California Assembly Bill 35 and Senate Bill 377and its impact.  If enacted, AB 35 will increase the amount of state low income housing tax credits by $300 million.  SB 377 will allow State credits to be “certificated”, by which nonprofit developers can act as a conduit for State credits for purposes of reducing investor tax liability and increasing the value of State credits.
