Michael Lane in the SF Gate “The Crisis is Now”

Michael Lane, NPH Policy Director was quoted in an SF Gate article speaking to the importance of voting Yes on K in San Mateo County on November 8th. Measure K extends the existing half-cent sales tax, and funds from this existing sales tax (Measure A) have already been used to support affordable housing. The estimated extra $85 million a year from Measure K would allow for more flexibility and possibility to continue the efforts.

“The crisis is now,” Lane said in an interview. “Voters are wanting the county to address it with bold action and so this is the proposal that goes forward that has the support that we can do now.”
