Since the fall of 2016, NPH and ELPN have been engaging the affordable housing community in conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to assess how our mission-based organizations and our industry can be more reflective of the communities we serve, from entry level to leadership roles.

In 2017, NPH launched our official working group to build on the listening sessions, panels, and workshops organized since our work began. This industry-wide working group will aim to create and implement an affordable housing sector-wide DEI action plan. The work we do includes developing industry trainings, supporting our BAHIP internship program, and more.
