In her role\, she is responsible for strategic oversight and programmatic delivery of initiatives that advance the organization’s vision for Diversity\, Equity\, Inclusion\, and Belonging (DEIB). \nBefore joining MidPen\, Jennifer traveled the path of entrepreneurship\, founding and serving as the CEO of two companies: Calibrated Lens\, LLC\, a boutique global consulting firm with the mission of inspiring clients to facilitate sustainable change by centering equity and inclusion; and 3011Whitney\, LLC\, a real estate development company built on a legacy of strengthening communities through inclusion and belonging. Jen has impactfully served in leadership roles with a strong track record of success in bringing together leadership and key stakeholders to advance DEI strategies within top global brands in philanthropy (United Way) and two nationally ranked academic medical centers: Mayo Clinic and Henry Ford Health System. \nWhen she’s not working\, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her wife\, SJ\, and dog\, Greyson. She loves sharing stories and imparting wisdom about coin collecting and ways it can be leveraged as an asset-building strategy. Through Numismatics Noir\, she aspires to diversify the community of coin collectors. Lilli previously served as Vice President of Housing Development at MidPen Housing\, where she led new construction and renovation projects\, developed building guidelines and real estate development standards\, and championed sustainability and vendor diversity. She has devoted her career to increasing access\, inclusion\, and equity in our communities.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”51569″ img_size=”medium” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text el_class=”custom-text-editor”] \nPreston Prince\, Executive Director\, Santa Clara County Housing Authority\n\nBefore joining Santa Clara County Housing Authority\, Preston Prince served as the CEO and executive director of Fresno Housing\, the county’s largest affordable housing developer and landlord\, where he oversaw a diverse housing portfolio serving 50\,000 low-income residents through 13\,000 housing choice vouchers and 5\,000 public and affordable units\, of which 2\,400 new units were created during his tenure. Prior to Fresno Housing\, Prince was the executive director of the Aurora Housing Authority in Aurora\, Colorado. In his early professional career\, he was dedicated to creating and securing financing for affordable housing\, working with both nonprofits and public housing agencies across Washington state. Throughout this period\, he successfully developed thousands of housing units catering to people with special needs\, families\, seniors\, and homeowners. \nPrince has created and shaped national\, statewide\, and local affordable housing policies and efforts to prevent homelessness and improve economic mobility for low-income families. As a public housing leader\, he is passionate about the connection between housing and education and builds essential partnerships to promote education and literacy education in low-income housing communities. He is a board member for the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO)\, the California Housing Finance Agency\, and the National Public Housing Museum. Since 2017\, the Fund has invested over $450 million in housing preservation and development projects throughout the Bay Area\, supporting over 2\,200 permanently affordable homes for more than 4\,000 residents vulnerable to displacement and homelessness. Previously\, Rebecca served as Director of Social Impact Investment under the late Mayor of San Francisco Ed Lee\, and before that was a Vice President in Public Sector & Infrastructure investment banking at Goldman Sachs\, where she raised capital for local governments\, universities\, non-profits\, and utilities around the country. She received her BA. from Brown University and her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Rebecca was appointed to the Board of Directors of the California Housing Partnership Corporation by Governor Newsom\, and also serves on the board of the San Francisco Friends School. Michele has served on numerous nonprofit boards\, and she served as the community member on the San Jose Mercury News editorial board. At PolicyLink she is responsible for harnessing the power of narrative to advance racial equity and justice specific to housing for the more than one million individuals who live below 200 percent of the poverty level. Hughes has led numerous projects including the strategic alignment of corporate and philanthropic partners to layer-focused investments to dramatically influence the trajectory of a neighborhood and achieve measurable gains for children and families. Additionally\, she served as a program officer with The Skillman Foundation and as the Executive Director of the Ruth Ellis Center\, a homeless and runaway shelter dedicated to the needs of LGBTQ youth. Prior to her role with PolicyLink\, Laura served as the Vice President of Communications & Community for a woman-owned\, $500 million IT and business services corporation with 3\,000 consultants and 32 offices in the US and Europe. Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors in Anthropology from Brown University and her Master in Public Health\, Health Behavior Health Education\, from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining SV@Home\, she served as Director of Housing Development at First Community Housing\, a leading San Jose-based affordable housing developer. Regina has also worked as a member of the National Development Council’s (NDC) East Team\, providing housing and economic development consulting services to several East Coast municipalities\, leading NDC’s green initiatives\, and teaching several courses on community and housing development finance. In addition\, he oversees $125 million in assets\, including the management of major affordable housing and community real estate like the Fruitvale Transit Village—a nationally recognized transit-oriented development project.\n\nIglesias\, an Oakland native\, is a recognized public sector leader with a longstanding career in the Bay Area. Prior to joining TUC\, he served as San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom’s Senior Advisor on Jobs and Contracting Programs. As the Executive Director of Community Housing Development Corporation (CHDC) since 1992\, Donald Gilmore is known for spearheading comprehensive neighborhood revitalization efforts.  Under Don’s leadership\, CHDC has completed over 1500 units for affordable rental and homeownership; created and operated programs that foster economic and leadership development for neighborhood residents; built diverse partnerships as well as a strong internal organization to achieve economic improvement for traditionally disinvested neighborhoods; and extended the company’s reach to serve communities in Contra Costa\, Alameda and Solano Counties.  As CHDC’s first executive director\, Don has built the organization from an all-volunteer to a staff nearly 50 employees with a variety of services and programs.  Real Estate Development\, Homeownership & Asset Building\, Asset Management\, CDFI Lending\, Economic Development\, Community Engagement and Property Management. A few programs are housed under CHDC affiliates. Most recently\, under Don’s leadership\, CHDC has added business lines in real estate brokerage services\, with a focus on affordability for first time buyers which includes special lending and down payment assistance funding. \nPrior to his leadership at CHDC\, Mr. Gilmore worked with the City of Alameda Housing Authority as a Housing Development Specialist\, and with Richmond Neighborhood Housing Services as Executive Director.   He is a graduate of Harvard University’s Achieving Excellence program\, holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of Idaho and holds numerous professional certifications.  He has served on boards of NeighborWorks National Network and numerous NeighborWorks National Advisory Committees\, the Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California\, East Bay Housing Organizations\, the national Center for Employment Training\, the Center for Health of North Richmond.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”31048″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text el_class=”custom-text-editor”] \nFathia Macauley\, Chief Lending Officer\, Housing Trust\nFathia Macauley joined Housing Trust as Chief Lending Officer in September 2019. She provides oversight for Housing Trust’s lending programs including Multifamily\, first-time homebuyer programs and Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) initiatives. Fathia has been in the field of community development finance for the past 25 years\, including over 18 years of experience financing and developing redevelopment projects throughout California\, ranging from affordable housing development projects to community facilities such as charter schools\, community health clinics\, faith-based facilities and mixed-use development projects. Throughout her career she has managed over $600M in CRA and affordable housing development projects and participated in the creation of over 1\,000 affordable homes\, either as a developer or lender. Fathia has also written several community plans and conducted community development research on the intersection of neighborhood revitalization and community investment. \nShe was most recently California Market Lead at Capital Impact Partners\, leading strategic planning for affordable housing lending and business strategy for California. She managed a $70M CA loan pipeline as well as three venture loan funds\, including leading Capital Impact’s participation in The Bay’s Future Fund. She was a lead originator for mission focused lending to affordable housing developers\, FQHCs\, social service agencies and charter schools. Prior to Capital Impact Partners\, Fathia served as Director of Business Development\, Northern California for Clearinghouse CDFI\, opening the Oakland office and expanding social impact lending in Northern California. Earlier\, Fathia was Associate Director\, Investment Officer for Nonprofit Finance Fund where she originated loans and New Markets Tax Credit projects and provided technical assistance to nonprofit borrowers in the Western United States. \nFathia’s venture into CDFI lending was based on her prior experience in affordable housing development and economic development for nine years in Los Angeles. Prior to reentering the lending field in 2011\, Fathia was a strategic development consultant for seven years\, assisting small and mid-size nonprofit and community organizations as well as small businesses transform their dreams into tangible programs and projects\, increasing their infrastructure and capacity for growth\, as well as finding funding sources that best suit their needs. Fathia has also trained professionals in fund development and has been a guest lecturer at both USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and UCLA Economics Department. \nFathia has also written several community plans and conducted community development research on the intersection of neighborhood revitalization and community investment. Currently\, Shola serves as the Director of Housing and Community Development for the City of Oakland. She leads the city’s strategic development plans to implement Mayor Libby Schaff’s Housing Plan to create and to preserve 17\,000 units of affordable housing in the City of Oakland. Shola manages the $69M department of professionals focused on providing deeply affordable units\, especially to Black and Brown residents\, through targeted programmatic\, policy and financial interventions. Before relocating to the west coast\, Shola served as Vice President of Business Development for Suffolk Construction\, a national construction management firm in New York City. Prior to joining Suffolk\, Shola served as Chief Executive Officer of the New York City Housing Authority\, the largest public housing authority in the nation. As a Mayoral appointee\, Shola launched NextGeneration NYCHA\, the agency’s 10-year turnaround plan. She led her team to balance the $3.1 billion operating budget for three consecutive years\, launched a major real estate development program and founded a social impact nonprofit\, the Fund for Public Housing. \nPrior to entering public service\, Ms. Olatoye spent more than 18 years in the private and nonprofit sectors. From 2009-2014\, Shola served in leadership roles at Enterprise Community Partners\, a national affordable housing organization. She was New York’s Vice President & Market Leader and led the market’s 60-person team and invested more than $150M annually in equity\, debt and grants in New York’s neighborhoods. Before Enterprise\, Shola was the Vice President and Community Development Manager for South Florida and the District of Columbia for HSBC Bank\, N.A.\, where she directed regional community development investing and lending activities\, as well as\, managed philanthropic relationships. Before relocating to South Florida\, Shola worked at HR&Advisors (formerly HR&A)\, a private NYC-based a real estate advisory firm. She specialized in urban public/private partnerships with universities\, parks\, and redeveloping neighborhood development organizations. Before focusing on housing and real estate\, Shola worked for a number of NYC education reform nonprofits focused on equity and access. \nShola is a sought after speaker on leadership and affordable housing. She’s consulted on efforts including the Yale Berkeley School of Divinity’s emerging leadership initiative and has served has a leadership coach to executive women. Ms. Olatoye has served on numerous boards including Wesleyan University\, the Council for Large Public Housing Authorities\, the Fund for Public Housing\, the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and the Community Opportunity Fund. Shola is also a life-long member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority\, Inc. She is also a member of the Church of the Heavenly Rest\, and served as the co-chair of “Explore\,” a five-year strategic planning initiative. Ms. Olatoye has received numerous awards including the 2018 NAACP Public Service Award\, 2018 Roger Starr Citizens Housing and Planning Commission award\, the 2017 Coalition for Queens public service award\, the 2016 Boys and Girls Club of Harlem M.L. Wilson Award for Public Service\, the 2016 New York Housing Conference public service award\, the Institute for Public Architecture and the 2017 Wesleyan University Distinguished Alumni Award. In 2014\, Crain’s named Ms. Olatoye to its “40 under 40” list of New York’s “most talented\, driven\, and dynamic” young professionals. \nMs. Olatoye grew up in Connecticut and graduated with a B.A. with honors in history and African American studies from Wesleyan University. Shola also earned a master’s degree in public administration from NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service\, where she also served as a Visiting Scholar teaching in the Masters of Urban Planning program on management and leadership.
