SUMMARY:Prop 1 from a Practitioner Perspective
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In March 2024\, California voters passed Proposition 1 to develop an array of behavioral health treatment\, residential care settings\, and supportive housing to help provide appropriate care facilities for individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. In the past year\, the California Departments of Health Care Services and Housing and Community Development have collectively issued funding availability announcements for over $5 billion representing over 80% of the total Proposition 1 bond funds. \nThis meeting-style NPH training focuses on Proposition 1 from a practitioner perspective. We will learn about exciting potential new developments that have applied for the funds\, as well as some of the challenges in accessing those same opportunities. We will also discuss possibilities for the remaining funds available. \nThis session will be recorded. The recording will be shared with registrants as an unlisted YouTube link 1-2 days after the event.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Register Today” style=”custom” custom_background=”#ba5226″ custom_text=”#ffffff” shape=”square” align=”center” css=”” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fweb.cvent.com%2Fevent%2Fd6bbbb86-e905-40a5-8d8d-56e3b9a5319c%2FregProcessStep1|target:_blank” el_class=”custom-button”][vc_column_text css=””] \nSpeakers Include:\n[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”73969″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ css=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text css=””]Natalie Bonnewit (moderator)\, Principal\, Bonnewit Development Services \nNatalie Bonnewit opened her consulting firm Bonnewit Development Services in 2006 to provide project management\, affordable housing development and policy advising services to mission-driven and public clients including non-profit affordable housing developers\, service providers\, housing advocacy groups\, local government and philanthropy.  Her expertise focuses on permanent supportive housing\, large-scale redevelopment projects and affordable housing finance and policy.  Natalie is a former Urban and Regional Policy Fellow with the German Marshall Fund.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”73968″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_circle_2″ css=””][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text css=””]Jonathan Russell\, Director\, Housing and Homelessness\, Alameda County Health \nAs a seasoned systems strategist and former non-profit executive\, Jonathan brings a wealth of experience to his role.
