Housing and Community Development Specialist II – Alameda County Housing + Community Development (Hayward, CA)
Under general supervision, the HCDS II will be responsible for the performance of professional duties which involve technical and analytical work in housing and community development programs and projects, including social service, homeless, community, and housing program activities, or service-enriched housing programs; and performing related duties as required. This will include the review of new projects, underwriting to adopted standards and policies, and monitoring and ensuring compliance of projects and programs which utilize county funding for affordable housing. Responsibilities will also include assisting in project planning, grant applications, public relations, data management and research, record-keeping and preparation of required reports and other related duties as required.
This position is characterized by a high degree of initiative, responsibility, accountability, and ability to work congenially with a wide variety of individuals, financial institutions, community-based organizations, and other governmental entities.
