A top priority of Bellevue’s growth strategy is providing a broad spectrum of affordable living opportunities for people throughout their lives and their changing needs, including those experiencing or facing homelessness. The City has expanded its affordable housing work in recent years, including establishing the Housing Stability Program. The Housing Stability Program is funded through the collection of a 0.1 percent sales and use tax, which helps support the production, preservation, and ongoing operation and maintenance of affordable housing and behavioral health and housing related services. This position is housed within A Regional Coalition for Housing (ARCH). ARCH is a partnership of the City of Bellevue, the County and other East King County Cities dedicated to creating equitable, inclusive communities of opportunity through investment, policy development, program delivery and direct support for people looking for affordable rental and ownership housing. ARCH has assisted its members with capital investments into affordable housing developments for nearly three decades. ARCH will play a key role in implementing the Housing Stability Program by managing the capital investment components of the program. The position will work closely with the ARCH Trust Fund Manager and key partners within the City of Bellevue, including staff in Community Development and Parks and Community Services Departments.
