May 11, 2023The Homeless Services Division exists within the City Manager’s Office, with the Homeless Services Manager reporting directly to the City Manager. The Division has a small but talented team passionate about serving our most vulnerable population. The placement within the City Manager’s Office ensures seamless coordination with other departments, most critically with the Police Department’s Homeless Intervention Team, which includes a social worker, the Public Works Department's Homeless Engagement and Response Team, and the Housing Services Department to apply for housing choice vouchers, rental assistance, and new supportive housing development.
