NPH is partnering with CompassPoint for a four-part webinar series on coaching skills. This four-part webinar is part of NPH’s 2020 Resident Services Professional Development Training series.*

Coaching skills are ways of communicating that shift power from ‘power over’ to ‘power with’ and ‘power within’. Coaching helps put into practice the idea that the people closest to the problem have the solutions. When we coach each other, we center self-determination, create space for accountability, and unlock each other’s gifts.

In this four-part series, you will:

  • Learn what coaching is and why it is so powerful in this moment
  • Ground yourself in the “coaching mindset”
  • Learn three key coaching skills
  • Build a coaching community of fellow supervisors, resident coordinators, and managers
  • Practice coaching as a communication skill

Required for participation:

  • Able to participate in all four modules on July 30th and August 13th.
  • Able to access physical space that is fairly private and uninterrupted during the modules
  • Able to access Zoom on a desktop
  • Willing to practice coaching skills with one or two other people in the sessions

Schedule – Please make sure you can attend all four dates before registering!

  • Thursday, July 30 – 9:30am – 11:30am Module 1
  • Thursday, July 30 – 1:30pm – 3:30pm Module 2
  • Thursday, August 13 – 9:30am – 11:30am Module 3
  • Thursday, August 13 – 1:30pm – 3:30pm Module 4

Important note: Since the modules are designed to be interactive and engaging with small group and paired discussions we are limiting registration to 3 sign ups per organization to maintain a manageable size.
