Join the Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN) for an exciting lunchtime journey into the unknown and wonderful world that is Project Based Section 8. In only 1.5 short hours we’ll take you from a Project-Based Voucher (PBV) Zero to Hero! The panel will explore the basics of the Section 8 Program, clarify what all those different acronyms mean (Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD), Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA), Section 8, PBV, etc.), and discuss allocation procedures, underwriting standards, and current trends. After the primer, we’ll jump right into a SF RAD case study, so you can better understand what those Section 8 dollars can do to a projects bottom-line. Joining the panel are experts from Gubb & Barshay LLP and the California Housing Partnership.
