Description: This workshop will train resident services staff about Census 2020. The Census is a count of everyone living in the United States on April 1, 2020. The Census questionnaire ensures that each state receives an accurate amount of federal dollars that support healthcare, affordable housing, education, and other federal programs. With every person that is not counted, the state loses up to $2,000 per person. This training will provide resources and outreach tools on how affordable housing Services staff can support their residents in accessing and completing the Census, and how to navigate fear and distrust of the government.
