Launched by the State as a response to the impacts of COVID on homelessness in California, Project Homekey is most known for turning hotels and motels into homeless housing. But Project Homekey also provided funds for innovative new build projects that could pull together resources and deliver housing under a very tight deadline. One such project, Homekey LifeMoves|Mountain View used a new delivery model and close collaboration between the developer, the city, consultants, and key funders and stakeholders to transform an underutilized industrial site into 100 units of new modular-built homeless housing in ten months from grant application to project completion.

Hear from project members about how they brought this remarkable project together and how it can be scaled and replicated to build housing for those most in need.
