Architect’s Tour: Lakeside Senior Housing

This event will provide a site visit and tour of the newly completed Lakeside Senior Housing, a 92-unit affordable senior housing development just off Lake Merritt in Oakland. The tour will be led by Architect Kelly Gregory (of David Baker Architects), joined by representatives of developer Satellite Affordable Housing Associates. The tour will provide an opportunity for people to learn about design strategies for independent senior living from experienced senior-housing architects and about the process of providing housing for a growing senior population. Plus the tour groups will enjoy a unique and dramatic view of Lake Merritt and the surrounding area from the project’s community roof deck.
