The definition of low-income is being pushed to new thresholds by the rising costs of housing in the Bay Area as many outlets are now reporting — including the Mercury News, Newsweek, and others. “More and more people are unable to afford housing,” NPH Executive Director Amie Fishman told the Mercury News, and called for the next California governor to take this issue head-on and for our community to rally around the November state bond, which will provide $4 billion in affordable housing funding for our veterans, seniors, and families.
