Empowering Affordable Housing Residents
Resident Engagement means bringing front and center the people who represent the Bay Area’s roughly 200,000 affordable housing residents. It means bringing them to the attention of our movement, our industry, our lawmakers, our media, and our communities. These residents represent a diversity of backgrounds and life experiences and their stories matter. These Bay Area neighbors are a powerful collective voice, and they belong at the table.
As we work towards home for all, we’re proud to partner with resident services staff to uplift the voices and experiences of affordable housing residents, the people who are directly impacted by our movement’s progress. NPH offers professional development programming for resident services staff as well as resources, tools, and trainings that are designed to grow their engagement and impact.
Voter Outreach Materials
NPH helps affordable housing resident communities create a culture of sustained voter engagement by providing voter registration and engagement outreach materials.
CAVE Program
The Community Advocacy & Voter Engagement (CAVE) Certification Program is a professional development training series for resident services staff to grow their skills in advocacy and voter engagement, becoming effective advocates in their communities.
CAVE Workbook
To complement and support the goals of CAVE, we’ve produced our first-ever Community Advocacy & Resident Voter Engagement Workbook: A Guide to Building a Collaborative Housing Justice Movement.
