Policy Manager – Full-Time

The Policy Manager will be an integral member of the NPH policy and campaign team and will report to the NPH Senior Policy Manager. The position will work as part of the team providing key staff support to the organization in the areas of regional and state policy development, campaign formation and execution, research and technical assistance, public education, coalition building and issue advocacy, and organizing. This is a full-time, exempt position.

The Policy Manager has a significant opportunity to help make progress on the following NPH priorities: 1) advancing our regional advocacy agenda, 2) moving NPH’s state legislation priorities to advance the 3Ps framework of housing (affordable and market-rate housing production, preservation of affordable homes, and protecting tenants from displacement), 3) engaging and leveraging NPH’s membership base of practitioners and advocates, and our collaborative partners and allies to build opportunities for our immediate and long-term policy goals.

Digital Communications Manager – Full-Time

A successful Digital Communications Manager will love digital communications and have experience with email and social media programs, familiarity in CRMs (ideally, Mailchimp, Salsa Engage, and Salesforce), social media (Facebook and Twitter), and WordPress. The Communications Manager should have a gift for writing and a strong eye for editing – specifically, writing copy for email programs, blog posts, and social media. This person should have a knack for storytelling and the ability to shape housing messages that will inspire voters, persuade lawmakers, mobilize supporters, and engage and support our member network.

The Digital Communications Manager will play a key role in promoting bold and meaningful affordable housing solutions for our region. They are responsible for managing and growing the organization’s digital communications program; working in coalition to support and magnify our communications and outreach impact; and helping create and deliver critical education, persuasion, and engagement content that advances bold and meaningful affordable housing solutions and drives racial equity and housing justice.

Policy Director – Full-Time

The Policy Director is a senior level management position responsible for directing and leading NPH’s state policy strategy and implementation, and supervising regional and special policy initiatives. The position provides key staff support to the organization in the areas of public policy development, strategic planning, legislative and regulatory advocacy, member and partner engagement and training.

The Policy Director reports to the Executive Director and collaborates closely with the NPH staff team, Board of Directors, and members; works with state legislators and political leadership throughout the region, along with local, state and national policy partners; and taps policy experts and researchers.
