Affordable Housing Industry Regulatory Changes
Discussion on current development with California Assembly Bill 35 and Senate Bill 377and its impact. If enacted, AB 35 will increase the amount of state low income housing tax credits by $300 million. SB 377 will allow State credits to be “certificated”, by which nonprofit developers can act as a conduit for State credits for purposes of reducing investor tax liability and increasing the value of State credits.
