There are approximately 150,000 Californians experiencing homelessness on any given night and great efforts are underway at the local, state, and federal level to try to mitigate this crisis. As developers, service providers, and property managers continue to expand Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) to meet the needs of diverse unhoused populations, the cracks in the ecosystem for developing sustainable, consumer-driven PSH are becoming increasingly evident.
This Brown Bag will focus on efforts NPH members are conducting to define PSH best practices and models while accounting for different target populations and project size with the goal of determining true costs. Panelists will share initial Full Cost Analysis findings, best practices, recommendations to standardize nomenclature, and how your agency can become involved in improving the PSH ecosystem.
