Deepen your engagement with the NPH community and help promote bold and meaningful affordable housing solutions for our region!

NPH convenes working groups to bring together members to take action, develop strategies, and advance solutions on critical affordable housing issues. Our working groups inspire collaboration and amplify the voice of key stakeholders, while furthering understanding across the sector. We offer several working groups for our members to advance our collective vision of a Bay Area where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable home.

Please note that working groups are for NPH members only. Need to check on your membership status? Email Emmanuel Escamilla at emmanuel@nonprofithousing.org about individual and organizational memberships

NPH Legislative Issues Committee

Formed in 1983, the Legislative Issues Committee discusses issues related to housing policy, funding, and programs on the regional, state, and federal levels, and makes preliminary recommendations to guide and inform NPH’s position on each issue. The group typically meets monthly. Click here to sign-up.

NPH Strategic Communications Council

Calling all communicators! NPH’s Strategic Communications Council (SCC) is open to all NPH Members working in communications. The group meets quarterly to discuss relevant Communications topics, share best practices, and work towards aligning our messaging to provide various audiences with clear, consistent messages about the Bay Area affordable housing movement and build public support. Click here to sign-up.

Resident Services Working Group

NPH’s Resident Services Working Group is an ad hoc committee to support and connect resident services teams (whether you are called service providers, community engagement, or property management — the folks who work with residents directly!) to build engagement opportunities and share best practices. Click here to sign-up.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Working Group

NPH’s DEI working group collaborates around creating and implementing an affordable housing sector-wide DEI action plan. The work we do includes developing industry trainings, supporting our BAHIP internship program, and more. Click here to sign up.

Ad Hoc Committees

NPH offers a number of additional ad hoc working groups as a place to gather, network, and connect on specific issues, such as TCAC regulations, local governments, and more. Click here to learn more and sign up for these additional opportunities.
