NPH and coalition partners are calling on Speaker Pelosi and Senators Feinstein and Padilla to invest in more affordable housing solutions for Bay Area communities and across the country by including the full Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act (AHCIA) as well as rental assistance in the final infrastructure bill of President Biden’s Build Back Better Plan.

The tax exempt bond program and the Low Income Housing Tax Credit are two critical aspects of the AHCIA that will help create nearly 1.5 million additional affordable homes nationwide and we must ensure they are included in the final infrastructure bill.

We must also ensure that rental assistance is included in the final package, in the form of housing vouchers and other assistance, so that those with the lowest incomes and highest need can stay in their homes and afford rent. Read the details in the letter and add your name now.
