NPH’s Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP) is a one-year, paid internship program designed to recruit and train students of color at Bay Area colleges and universities to become housing development professionals.

By removing common barriers to opportunity, the internship aims to provide a launching pad for college students from low-income communities and communities of color into a career in affordable housing development and project management.

Please note that we are receiving applications on a rolling basis as we fill our internship placements. You may still continue to apply until otherwise noted.

Who Should Apply?

We strongly encourage applications from students entering their last year of college in fall 2022 who have an interest in urban studies and/or community development. Students who are bi-cultural and/or bilingual/biliterate are also encouraged to apply.

Important Notes

Applicants should review the program description before completing the application. It is also encouraged to check out the recording from one of our info sessions for additional information.
