“NOW IS THE TIME FOR BOLD ACTION” – NPH’S MICHAEL LANE IN THE SAN MATEO DAILY JOURNAL

NPH’s Policy Director Michael Lane was quoted in the San Mateo Daily Journal supporting placing a revenue measure on the November 2016 ballot in San Mateo County.

“A consistent, ongoing source of revenue is necessary. Now is the time for bold action,” Lane said at the County Supervisors meeting Tuesday. Lane also explained that targeted investment in the $40 million a year range would double the production of affordable housing in the county. 

San Mateo County Supervisors voted unanimously Tuesday to authorize staff to begin work on a 20-year extension of Measure A, increasing the County’s multi-million dollar annual commitment to affordable homes to reflect the crisis seniors, veterans, families and people with disabilities are feeling today.
