Creative Housing Options for an Inclusive Community

Hosted by Multi-faith ACTION Coalition Shelter and Housing Task Force This workshop will provide an opportunity for the many stakeholders to have a discussion on the issues around planning a community of the future designed for everyone – persons with extremely low income, young professionals, families, seniors, lower income workers, businesses, and others who seek the convenience of downtown living with alternative transportation options.

See Oakland’s Affordable Housing – by bike!

Hosted by Community Economics See how affordable housing mitigates the effects of gentrification, enhances neighborhoods, sparks economic development, and stabilizes communities.   Green building, neighborhood-serving retail, connections to transit, child care, clinics, creative designs, supportive services, integrated into neighborhoods, and much more! A leisurely-paced bike ride of about 10 miles. The route is flat, and mostly on roads with bike lanes/sharrows. Please wear a helmet and bring water.
