Excitement, concern, and nearly 100 housing advocates filled the room on March 17 as Alameda County Supervisors hosted the first stakeholder meeting on a proposed $500 million bond for affordable homes, proposed for this November’s ballot. Supervisors Wilma Chan and Nate Miley spoke to the urgent need for greater affordability. On June 21st, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to place an affordable housing bond on the November ballot.
