On June 15, 2015 the California Supreme Court released an opinion that affirms the ability of cities and counties to adopt inclusionary housing ordinances, a critical tool in developing affordable homes. NPH has long supported inclusionary housing policies as an important tool for local jurisdictions to create affordable homes for working class families. Since the Palmer case, NPH and partners have been supporting Bay Area localities to continue to implement and adopt inclusionary policies on a voluntary basis for rental developments.
